100 posts! I can’t believe it. I started this blog a year and a day ago, and now I am at 100 posts! It has come such a long way since the beginning – I have written about techniques in photography, reviewed some of my camera and lenses, talked about film and digital cameras, and introduced some of my personal favourite photographers.
When I started this website over a year ago, the aim was simply to have somewhere to showcase my photography that wasn’t Facebook, or one of the many photo sharing websites. I wanted something more personal, that I could match with business cards (that I have since made) that I could use to point people to my work. I originally didn’t intend to do a blog, but the more I thought about it the more I had things I wanted to share. I started out with the aim of deciding 10 posts I would write about, and if I could come up with 10 good topics, I would go ahead and start a blog. And now we are at 100.
Aside from giving me an opportunity to share my experiences with photography, and talk about my experience with my equipment, it has given me more drive to go out and take photographs, and to really improve my photography. All in all I think this has been one of the most beneficial personal projects I have ever done, so thank you all those who read my blog.
I will be moving to the UK in one weeks time, and I hope to continue working on this blog and photographing for it. The photographs appearing on this blog will become more and more England based, but I see it as a new challenge, and I want to give it my full effort, as I did with photography in Japan!
Thank you for all your support,
